forest owl

My mom and I got together yesterday for a little fun of making forest owls! We both thought they were a cute project from Sandi Henderson's book, Sewing Bits and Pieces.

I finished mine up today by stuffing it and stitching on the little feathers (made out of wool felt). So cute!

It's a super simple pattern, comes togther quickly and would make a great gift! If you make one, you may want to trim the belly pattern down at the top (about a .5 to 1 inch). I think the pattern is a bit big (in the book) and doesn't look like belly on the owl in the picture if you leave it as is. Otherwise, it's a great pattern and is a fun project to make if you need something other than a quilt to work on! :)

Hope you have a great day!

Very sweet, but is the beak upside-down?

Thanks everyone, for the kind comments!

*(Nope, the beak isn't upside-down... at least that's how it's done in the book) :)
