Amy Butler Charm Quilt - finally finished!

Ok, it has taken me YEARS to finish this quilt!  I just checked the history in our blog and I had it under construction in September of 2008... yikes!  Well, now that I have a new sewing machine it has inspired me to finish up some of the old quilts that I have had laying around.  On this quilt, I had most of the football shapes embroidered and had three more rows of them to finish, but I decided I probably was not going to finish them, so I cut them off and made the quilt smaller :)  When I originally bought the fabric I really liked it, but now it is not one of my favorites so I figured if it was a little smaller that was okay and at least it is finished (and now my husband has one less unfinished quilt to nag me about - no, just kidding- he is really nice about not bringing up my unfinished works...).
So, here's to a good start to 2011 and maybe finishing up a couple more projects that have been laying around forever! - Jennifer

Great work! I have the same problem with quilt tops that lie around for a couple of years. I don't really like them anymore. I really like the ruffles on the edge. It'll be a great baby quilt.

I love the quilt. The ruffles around the edge really make it so cute! How on earth do you do them once the quilt is quilted?

I'm glad to see you're putting your new sewing machine to work. :) Maybe I will have to become inspired to start a quilt now...
