Single Girl Quilt

Single Girl arc pieces
I've been wanting to make this quilt for a long time. When I purchased the pattern a few years ago, I started making the templates and never finished them. So when I heard there was a quilt-a-long starting up, I was glad to dig the pattern out and get started on it again.
This is the quilt that I've been wanting to make with my Flea Market Fancy fabrics. I've spent a lot of time this past week ironing and tracing and cutting out the arc pieces. I'm making a queen size quilt, so that consists of 16 rings and they each have 36 (I think) fabrics in each ring!
Phew! Now I'm onto cutting the background pieces.

This is going to be one beautiful quilt! I'm impressed that you are making a queen... I'm only brave enough to tackle a twin size.

I think I have wanted this quilt since I was a child. I remember seeing it on a bed way back then and loving it. Funny, how come I keep making all these other quilts. I guess in a way it intimidates me. I will definitely be tuned in to your progress. Very neat!

I'm impressed that:
a. You are using FMF, but it SHOULD be used for something special and this is certainly a special quilt.
b. That you have your arcs cut. So far I have traced and cut out my templates, and cut my fabric into
3 1/2" strips...a long way to go for me....
c. That you are making a queen size! I agree with Jennifer: I have the courage only to make a twin.

This is going to be stunning! I just received my first pieces of FMF in the mail the other day (not enough to make a quilt from, but enough to make me happy for now :)
Can't wait to see how it all comes together :)
