Swoon quilt top complete!

Thanks everyone for such nice comments on my individual blocks I posted the other day- You have inspired me to finish this one up to see what it would look like all together... well, here it is!
swoon quilt 1
For those that have asked, I think it is quite easy of a pattern to make- I definitely think a confident beginner could make this.  I especially love that the blocks are so big, it really makes a large size quilt fast.

Now onto picking a backing and quilting it- I think I'll try straight line quilting on this one.  I tried that once before but it didn't work for me at all.... so I'm going to try again, this time with my walking foot on my machine.  Last time the quilt ended up pulling in different directions and looked really bad once it was quilted.  Anyway, we'll see how it goes this time, hopefully better because I really don't want to mess this one up! :)

I fell in love with this pattern when I saw it in Camille's booth in Market photos. I LOVE how it looks in Loulouthi! Fabulous--waiting for the pattern to arrive, so I can get started, too!

very nice; I've never seen it pieced like this. It is much like the capenter wheel; but it has many of the 45degree angels...grrrr
this looks much nicer to piece..nice job with it...looks lovely

Beautiful! As for the straight line quilting, I tried it without a walking foot and had that same problem. Once I got a walking foot it solved the problem completely. So have no fear! Can't wait to see it finished :D

I can't stop thinking about this quilt. Can you tell me if fat eighths would work instead of fat quarters??

Oh dear me that is a seriously gorgeous quilt. I really would love to make one like that, but my skills are not at that level.
Hope the quilting turns out the way you want it to.

Your quilt is lovely!! Can't wait to make one myself!

Fabulous! I love the colors

Your blocks the other day were so pretty I went out and had to buy the pattern! I really like that it's fat quarter friendly since I've got a huge stack of fat quarters just begging to be turned into a king size quilt. Are you going to make your quilt bigger or stop where you are at?

It turned out beautifully!

Obsessed. I'm so wanting to use this same combo of fabric and pattern. I would probably use a darker, richer color for the background though. I cannot wait to see the finished quilt! Its gorgeous!

I love this quilt pattern (I've made one block so far). It looks fabulous in the fabrics you have chosen - really striking. Can't wait to see it quilted and bound.

I've been swooning for that pattern since the moment I first spied it. Your fabric choices are lovely, and I'm with you...I think the big blocks make quite a statement! I'm encouraged that you don't report the pattern being overly difficult. The quilt actually looks quite complicated, but Camille herself said it isn't as tricky as it appears. It's on my "want to" list!!
