You can find me stitching away on another vintage crewel kit while the kids are at soccer practice,
up super early getting this girl off to Middle School while it's still dark,
then getting this boy off to school a few hours later. I get to spend my days with the silly one in the background and while he naps in the afternoon,
I work on some more bowtie blocks. It's been a good first week back at school. Let's hope it continues!

Really love these kits you've been stitching up! I keep forgetting to look for them at the thrift! :)
How fun! That is some pretty stitching. And very cute pictures of your kiddos. :)
Love that crewel work. And that photo of the pinned blocks...sigh...is inspiring me to get off my bum and off to the sewing room. Thank you!
That crewel design is fantastic as are the cheery colors!!
what a fun sampler!!! that neat stack of pinned up blocks is lovely
I think I own 10 pins, total. That photo blows my mind. You go girl....sew 'em up!
What kind of pen do you use to transfer your embroidery patterns?? Or is that printed fabric?
The embroidery is beautiful, love it. :-)
Can't wait to see what it is your quilting..!

I'm enjoying your blog while trying to beat the heat here in Tunisia. Your textile projects are so lovely--it's a wonder how you get so much done with a young family too. Your piecing of patchwork is impeccable and you use great fabrics. Happy quilting!
best, nadia
I love your blog but have to ask why all the pins please? I have seen a bow tie block but have yet to make one. Mind you I have yet to make a lot of blocks. You are amazing - young family and so much done all the time. The old saying has always been if you need something done ask a busy person and it will happen.
Love

Mmmm I remember those days off getting up in the dark to organise children for school.....sure don't miss that. I was wondering if you could share your bowtie block info with me. What size is the finished block and what size are you cutting the squares and the small triangle thingo.....seen this block around on blogs and would love to have a go. Thank you
