This is adorable and very inspiring! I saw this and was thrilled to see that you have been posting this month. I was sad to think you were leaving your blog. Thank you! I always enjoy what you share!
Really? A crayon a washable marker? I'm assuming you have no troubles with it washing out, or you wouldn't use it, right? Genius.
You're right, a washable marker. I haven't had any issues with staining although I wouldn't leave the marker on there for months at a time. I got the idea from a pair of pjs that I bought my daughter ages should where there were a couple of markers included in the package. You could color the design on the front and redo it after it was washed... it was so fun for her and I figured it would work just as well for quilting! :)
I've used washable markers to mark too. They work great. The only problem I had was at an intersection where I had 5 threads crossing and it was hard to wash the marking out from under them all, but I assume that would happen with any marker. A bit of elbow grease and it was gone.I love the quilting ideas. It is going to make your little quilt really special.
What a great tip. I would never have used a washable marker. My son had a shirt with a word bubble that you could fill out and wash out... and it worked really well... but I never would have put that on my quilt. I'm gonna try that with my next project. Thanks for the tip.
Lovely quilt and thanks for the tip about the Crayola markers!
I love the colors in your quilt...thanks for the tip too.
this is going to be very pretty when done
Thanks for the tip on the marker. Love the cheery yellow.
